THE ISLAND — SILVA’S PRIVATE LIVING SPACE 

     the only interior aspect of gunkanjima that silva had refurbished/redone is that of his own personal living space: i.e. his bedroom and bathrooms. the rest of his island remains untouched, and as it was left by it’s former inhabitants ( excluding what electrical aspects needed to be updated to suit his technological/professional requirements. )

     after five months on the floor of a lightless, airless room, existing in his own bodily functions, he is particularly insistent that his living space be – while utilitarian/minimalist – clean and comfortable.
